ON 2D-CameraMeasure is a versatile tool designed for precise object length, angle, area, diameter, and dimension measurements. This application enables users to conduct measurements on various objects within a 2D plane, potentially replacing conventional measuring tools like rulers and tape measures in scenarios where their usage may be inadequate or challenging.

ON 2D-CameraMeasure proves particularly beneficial when gauging large objects that standard rulers or tapes struggle to accommodate. It excels at measuring the dimensions of sizable items such as screens, lamp posts, architectural elements, and room layouts, offering a swift and effortless measurement process provided a known reference dimension is available.

The app facilitates non-contact measurements by utilizing the device's camera alongside any predefined reference length or dimension. Calibration references can range from simple line lengths to rectangular or circular object sizes. Users have the option of selecting common objects like credit cards, CDs/DVDs, or A4 papers provided within the app or setting custom references.

To ensure accuracy, both the reference and target objects must lie on a plane parallel to the camera's surface. The operational steps involve placing the reference object adjacent to the target object, capturing an image with the camera, calibrating, and switching between different measurement modes.

To achieve optimal accuracy, it is advisable to employ larger reference objects as they are easier to calibrate with minimal errors. Based on our extensive experimentation, the average accuracy typically falls within a range of (+)(-)1.5%.
